What is jIRCd?

jIRCd is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) server program (daemon). It allows for IRC clients to connect to and chat on an IRC network to which the server is linked. jIRCd is loaded with features, and it is one of the few Java-powered IRC servers in existance. Because it is powered by Java, jIRCd can run on just about any computer in the world. For more information on Java, see the Why Java page on this site.

Where can I get it?
